Dance International Glasgow 2017

Dance International Glasgow 2017 has been launched today, with tickets for all Tramway shows available to book now at fantastic early bird prices.

The second edition of the biennial Dance International Glasgow (DIG), which runs Friday 21 April - Sunday 21 May, will feature a stunning range of work from some of today’s most exciting choreographers, directors and companies, including:

Scottish Ballet with work from two of the hottest choreographers today, Ivgi & Greben; 

Scottish Dance Theatre, whose Velvet Petal is part inspired by Patti Smith's book about her relationship with Robert Mapplethorpe;
Shobana Jeyasingh with Material Men redux, which The Guardian tagged as 1 of the 5 must-see shows of 2017;

Mark Murphy's V-Tol with Out of This World, a genre-defying, mix of aerial acrobatics, projected film and special effects from the creative mind behind the Glasgow Commonwealth Games closing ceremony;

Siobhan Davies Dance with an installation/performance featuring multiple works be different artists and choreographers, and a rare chance to see Siobhan davies perform;

....and much, much more besides. 


The festival is programmed and produced by Tramway, but includes a number of off-site performances at SWG3, Govanhill Baths and some surprising outdoor venues. Full details of this strand will be announced soon, as will a busy accompanying engagement programme.​
