Albert Drive Project
Tramway have been awarded a significant grant from Creative Scotland’s First In A Lifetime investment fund, towards a large scale participatory art programme, titled Albert Drive. The aim is to bring together a mixed and diverse set of communities, which have had some racial tensions develop in recent years, through a series of high quality artistic commissions that explore 'who is my neighbour'.
Co-produced with long-term Tramway collaborators Glas(s) Performance, (who produce Tramway’s youth-theatre in-residence Junction 25, and recent productions Hand Me Down and Generation), and commissioning a number of artists working across disciplines, the project aims to work with many of the residents living and working in Albert Drive and the surrounding areas over a period of 18-months, culminating in a celebratory and highly visible event in July 2013.
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Freelance Project Coordinator to help us deliver this ambitious work in 2012 – 2013.
This is a full time, 1-year fixed term freelance position
£19,500 fixed fee.
