This year’s Koestler Trust Exhibition for Scotland: Titled Insight & Outlook will be exhibited in Tramway 3rd – 25th November.

Friday 2nd November 3-5pm in Tramway’s Upper Foyer Exhibition Space.

The exhibition is to be opened by Baroness Linklater with speakers including artist David Shrigley and Colin McConnell, Chief Executive of the Scottish Prison Service.

Insight and Outlook is an exhibition of artwork and writing from prisons, secure hospitals, secure children’s homes and criminal justice services in Scotland. This inspiring collection of drawing, painting, sculpture and creative writing was selected from entries to the 2012 Koestler Awards – a charitable scheme which has been rewarding artistic achievement in the penal and secure sectors for 50 years.

The exhibition has been curated by young care leavers with guidance from Glasgow artist David Shrigley. This project has been made possible by funding from The Co-operative.

The exhibition is kindly supported by The Co-operative, Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Creative Scotland.
