Tramway’s Café Bar (recently fully refurbished)has become one of the most popular places to visit in Glasgow’s Southside. With views of The Hidden Gardens and a menu of tasty, freshly prepared food, it’s perfect for all the family, whether you want a light snack, pre-theatre meal, or just a fresh coffee and homemade pastry.

We offer everything from light snacks to pre-theatre dining, and imaginative vegetarian options are always available. Check our menu for daily specials such as Moroccan Chicken Tagine with Cous Cous, Leek, Wild Mushroom and Potato Pie, and Golden Pumpkin Soup.

Our Pre-Theatre Menu is the perfect way to begin an evening out and is attractively priced: Two courses cost just £7.95 and three courses cost £9.95. Both options include fresh coffee or tea from our Costa Coffee menu. Choose from dishes such as Herb Roast Chicken Breast with Spring Onion Mash and a Panache of Seasonal Vegetables with a Bacon and Baby Onion Jus, or Roast Vegetable, Haloumi and Rocket Salad. Indulge in our Orchard Fruit Crumble and Ice Cream, or order a selection of continental cheeses and oatcakes. Accompany your meal with a glass of wine from our carefully selected range.

The Tramway Café Bar is a comfortable, child-friendly environment, where you can relax on a sofa and enjoy coffee and a homemade pastry. Over the summer months the seating area extends out to the patio, where you can sip on a fresh strawberry smoothie or a coconut and lime lassi.

Tramway is home to many versatile spaces available for hire, and the Café Bar team are happy to provide catering for private functions throughout the venue. We can cater for everything from corporate dinners to small children’s parties. Private catering must be pre-booked.
