Tramway is not only a venue of production and presentation but, just as importantly, is the catalyst for new ideas. It is a venue that promotes public participation, education and debate, placing the building at the heart of local, national and international concerns, issues and innovation.
This vision requires us to combine the programme of contemporary performance and visual art with a new programme of developmental and participatory activities that link to, and builds on, the existing programmes.
Through forthcoming developments in our staffing structure, a more fulfilling programme of Education activity is envisioned for the future; created for, and by, the people who use the building.
