Creative Identities West Central
Creative Identities is an 18-month pilot programme of arts and moving image media activities (film, video & games) for young people aged 10-19 . The initiative aims to create opportunities for young people to develop skills through creative experience and exploration.
Creative Identities is funded by the Scottish Government’s CashBack for Communities fund using £1.2 million from the proceeds of crime, and is managed in partnership by Scottish Screen and the Scottish Arts Council.
The programme is open to young people who want to tell meaningful and relevant stories about their life in Scotland.
These stories will be told through image, video, music or text, and the work will be showcased on www.creativeidentities.org/ and www.artsaction.org.uk, and through exhibitions and presentations. All of this is made possible through a range of media and arts partners across Scotland.
Tramway and the GFT are lead partners for the West Central Region which includes
South Ayrshire
North Ayrshire
East Ayrshire
West Dunbartonshire
East Dunbartonshire
Glasgow City
Inverclyde

Some of the Creative Identities activities are being developed specifically for groups of young people through our network of national partners, but others are open to any young person who would like to get involved.
