Starcatchers

Creating performances for babies and toddlers in Scotland.

Starcatchers is an innovative project which works in partnership with artists, arts venues, child-care settings and families to develop exciting, inspiring performing arts experiences for children aged 0 -4 in Scotland. Following an extremely successful pilot project – engaging local audiences, inspiring artists to work with this new audience and creating critically acclaimed performances for babies – Starcatchers has now launched the next stage of the project. At the heart of the new Starcatchers project are four Artist’s Residencies based in venues around Scotland. Tramway is a key partner in the development of one of these residences, providing time, space and resources for experimentation and practice development. The resulting new productions will engage, entertain and nurture the very youngest children in Scotland. Ultimately,our vision is that Scotland becomes a world leader in performing arts for the 0 -4 age range.
