100 years ago Stravinsky’s ballet The Rite of Spring scandalised Paris, caused a riot and became one of the most influential works of the 20th century.  To celebrate its centenary the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, The Glasgow School of Art and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra , supported by Scottish Ballet, join forces to create a brand new work inspired by Stravinsky’s score.

Composed, danced and lit by students from the Royal Conservatoire, with costumes and sets by the Glasgow School of Art and played by members of the BBC SSO and the RCS, Monad is a specially composed and choreographed new piece, complemented by a curated programme of associated work to celebrate The Rite.

Don’t miss this unique collaboration which will highlight some of the finest young artistic talent in Scotland and recapture The Rite’s rebellious, ground-breaking artistic spirit.
