Open Critical Forum’ is an informal discussion group for individuals who work with moving images, this includes makers, writers, watchers, critics and curators. It is an opportunity to develop discussion and questions stimulated by the
TRAMWAY FESTIVAL OF ARTISTS MOVING IMAGE and the films and videos screened.
Open Critical Forum will take place in Tramway Studio upstairs prior to each day of the screening programme (Fri 2-4pm, Sat/Sun 11.30am -1.30pm). The event is hosted by members of the CCA/LUX Critical Forum, a discussion group who meet to debate a wide range of issues provoked either by the practice of each of the individuals involved or their own specific interests regarding a wider range of moving image work.
Attendees of the festival are invited to partake in this informal discussion alongside some of artists, curators and writers represented in the screening programmes. We expect the discussion will be more productive when those involved can commit to as many sessions as possible, so we request that participants in this forum do so for all three of the sessions over the weekend.
Participation is free with a day or weekend festival pass. Maximum 20 participants
