Drawings in pencil. Drawings in light. Traces of journeys, mappings, sketches, networks, rhythms…
Two artists create live sketches, drawings and video projections and, using graphite sequencers, translate them into an ever-adaptable musical score of techno rhythms and electronic pulses. This hypnotic performance work transfixes the viewer, as they begin to lose track of where the drawings end and the music begins...
Created for the Sounds of Stockholm Festival 2010, commissioned by Stockholm’s Electronic Music Studio (EMS) and WELD experimental arts space.
Daniel Skoglund is a Swedish sound artist working with performance, composition and installation art. By designing and constructing machines he creates and presents music in new ways. Until 2003 he was part of a Swedish sound art duo 8tunnel2. Since then, he has worked with several other artists, including DJ Olive (US), Lasse Marhaug (Norway) and Mats Gustafsson (Sweden).
Interdisciplinary artist Kathy Hinde has created video and sound for theatre and live art performances alongside making installations and site specific work. Kathy creates video projections in a live context, and is keen to find alternatives to the conventions of a screen. She has projected video onto all kinds of surfaces including buildings, people, sheets of ice, the floor, sculptural objects and paper constructions.
Kathy has shown work across Europe, Scandinavia, China, Pakistan, USA, Colombia and Brazil. Previous and current collaborators are many and include:  Joanna MacGregor, Maja Ratkje, Gabriel Prokofiev, Joby Burgess and recently composer Will Gregory from Goldfrapp by creating video projections for Gregory's Opera "Piccard in Space" directed by Jude Kelly at the South Bank Centre, London.
Kathy Hinde’s sonic installation Piano Migrations can currently be viewed for free in the window of Scottish Music Centre, Glasgow, as part of Sonica 2012.
