Roll up, roll up…Welcome to the Greatest Show on Earth. Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls - the circus is about to begin!
Welcome to Tightrope, the biggest, most dangerous, amazingly spectacular Amici Dance Theatre Company show in all of their 30 years, with special guests Indepen-dance. This is the story of an ageing circus company who have stuck together, struggling against the odds to survive, but will this be their final performance? There’ll be clowns and jugglers, knife throwers and illusionists, stilts walkers and unicyclists; trapeze artists and aerialists flying through the air and of course, the not to be missed, death defying tightrope walker. Amici integrate able bodied and disabled artists and performers to challenge conventional attitudes to dis-ability and the arts.
Tightrope is Amici’s 30th anniversary show, they have came to Glasgow to join forces with Glasgow’s inclusive dance company Indepen-dance.
