With just days to go before Christmas, we'd like to invite you to unwrap our upcoming season of Performance, Visual Arts and Participation.
Opening with a solo exhibition by Oliver Laric (21 Jan-19 Mar) - whose distinctive work graces the cover of the brochure - our Visual Arts season also includes a site-specific show from acclaimed Scottish artist Claire Barclay (10 Feb-9 Apr). Informed by her interest in materials and processes, this installation will respond to the raw industrial aesthetic of Tramway's large T2 gallery. Throughout the season, a programme of workshops, tours, interventions and an artists' talk will offer a range of ways to explore the exhibition.
In Performance, Barrowland Ballet makes a welcome return to Tramway with Wolves, a world premiere which will be performed by an intergenerational cast (18 Mar). From 24 Feb - 10 Mar, Tramway will also host four shows from Take Me Somewhere, a new citywide festival of contemporary performance that builds on the legacy of The Arches arts programme. We also welcome back Y-Dance for a vibrant showscase of Scotland's best youth dance (4 Mar).
All ticketed events are on sale now.
