This week we unveil our new season. There are lots of great events to look forward to.... but we would say that, wouldn't we?
However, we think a quick look at some highlights will whet your appetite too.
This season Tramway is integral to two of the biggest arts festivals in the city this year. We co-present and host work as part of Take Me Somewhere festival of contemporary performing art (16 May - 4 June)), and present three exhibitions as part of Glasgow International 2018 (20 April - 7 May), including a main gallery exhibition by Turner Prize winning Mark Leckey, also co-commissioned by us.
In June we present a double bill from Ballet Black, who entranced audiences when they performed here last year, and later in the summer we bring you a new Berlin-Glasgow collaboration from two award-winning young theatre companies, including our very own Junction 25.
Later in the season, our visual arts programme continues with a large installation from British artist Samara Scott which responds to Tramway's main gallery space; and a Children's Exhibition designed and curated to introduce them to ideas and materials used in contemporary art.
There's much, much more to experience besides, from April to August. We look forward to seeing you here.
