Try our 'TRYathlon' this weekend

Posted on 7 Mar 2018 in News, Family

Like many venues, we were affected by the recent severe weather and unfortunately had to cancel this season’s Tramway Family Day. Now we are delighted to be running some of the activities we had planned, in a special bumper edition of our regular TRYOUT this Sunday 11 March.

TRYOUT features practical activities to explore our exhibitions and your creativity, and the everyone is welcome.

In this 'TRY-athlon':

Make rubbings to produce your own selection of patterned papers, inspired by our Steven Campbell exhibition.

Witht help from arrtist Mandy Roberts, make a mask using your patterned paper pieces and other papers:

Have your portrait taken in a very special pop up studio led by acclaimed artist, photographer and filmmaker Margaret Salmon, currently exhibiting in Tramway's main gallery.

Our partners in the Hidden Gardens are also hosting a reverse treasure hunt in collaboration with Gaelic Arts; Planntrais agus Sgeulachdan (Plants and Stories).

All activity is free and all the materials you need are provided. We just need you! We hope you can drop in between 1 – 4pm to give TRYOUT a try.
