On the final weekend of Jasleen Kaur's Tramway exhibition, Alter Altar, we present the artist in conversation with curator Amanprit Sandhu.
Using call and response, they will reflect on aural, material and vernacular resonances and memories that reside in the exhibition. The conversation, which takes place in the exhibition space, will incorporate and include time for responses and a Q&A with the audience.
Amanprit Sandhu is a curator and educator living and working between East Sussex and London, England. Most recently she co-curated the Borås Art Biennial in Sweden titled 'Deep Listening for Longing' and currently works as a Senior Lecturer in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts. In 2019 she contributed to Jasleen Kaur's publication 'Be Like Teflon'. She is interested in researching how material vernaculars manifest in the work of contemporary artists.
