Human Threads - Spatial Opera Company: Spatial Whale Opera
Spatial Opera Company - a small team of three musicians founded in 2010 - will visit our main gallery exhibition to play Whale Opera, a piece which combines whale song, voice and violin.
The group met in 2010 united by an idea to create an opera in the dark, using space as the main element to inspire the listener’s visual and aural associations. Since then, they have created a number of works, including their award winning spatial opera in the dark, Confessions.
Part of a programme of events accompanying Human Threads, a large scale, multi-sensory exhibition from Artlink in partnership with Tramway, open here until 28 August.
Human Threads is supported by Creative Scotland, Midlothian Health & Social care Partnership and RS Macdonald Charitable Trust
