Human Threads - James McClardy, Kevin McPhee, and Francesca Nobilucci: Moments When We Collide
Artlink artists will creatively engage with visitors to our Human Threads exhibition using improvisation and play as a means of creating an equitable and accessible inclusive route into the artworks.
There will be no public presentation or performance to an audience, and any interactions with gallery visitors will be incidental.
This is one of three 'Moments When We Collide' events, when the artists will be in the gallery from 12 noon to 5pm:
Saturday 11 June
Saturday 9 July
Saturday 27 August
You are welcome to join one or all of the sessions. Drop in any time.
About 'Moments When We Collide'
Making direct links to the work of the Artlink Edinburgh ideas team, this workshop will explore how the Human Threads exhibition can be experienced in unexpected and more playful ways.
Central to this work is the notion of collaboration as responsive interaction and friendship. The artists will approach these workshops, not as experts in any sense but through enjoying and valuing working with others.
The team appreciates that working in public may feel strange and uncomfortable so they will work together to create a safe space for interaction and experimentation.
Part of a programme of events accompanying Human Threads, a large scale, multi-sensory exhibition from Artlink in partnership with Tramway, open here until 28 August.
Human Threads is supported by Creative Scotland, Midlothian Health & Social care Partnership and RS Macdonald Charitable Trust
