Human Threads - Red Note Ensemble: Fair Play
A playful, inclusive, and interactive sharing of main gallery exhibition Human Threads through live improvisations performed by Red Note Ensemble, and inspired by the intricate landscape of the exhibition. The musicians will interact with artworks and visitors exploring the exhibition, blurring the lines between ‘audience’ and ‘performer.’
Like the billowing sails and joyful smoke, bubbles, and light of this gentle fairground, sounds will thread, twine, phase and shift as Red Note’s musicians spontaneously align with and respond to both the art and the audience.
This performance is the second of three by Red Note Ensemble, with the final performance taking place on Sunday 28 August. Marking the end of the Human Threads exhibition run, it will be a specially commissioned soundscape by Martina Corsini.
ACCESS: Highly Visual and Sensory
Part of a programme of events accompanying Human Threads, a large scale, multi-sensory exhibition from Artlink in partnership with Tramway, open here until 28 August.
Human Threads is supported by Creative Scotland, Midlothian Health & Social care Partnership and RS Macdonald Charitable Trust
