Katrine Turner

Katrine Turner

Katrine Turner is a Glaswegian artist working with live performance and film. She creates work concerned with speculative futures, the climate crisis and the end of capitalism.

In Autumn 2020, like thousands of the newly unemployed, Katrine ended up taking a temporary contract as an outsourced Call Handler on the Coronavirus Response Helpline. Inspired by this experience, she developed a new performance,'An alternative helpline for the end of the world,' a one-on-one telephone performance which explores the use of outsourced call handlers, computer algorithms and how capitalism creates the opportunity to profit from crisis.

Watch this website for details of how you can access this performance as part of the Tramway Beyond Walls season.

Please note - All activity will be delivered within current Scottish Government guidelines on social distancing.
