NEW Tramway TV will bring arts online

We are delighted to bring news of an exciting new Tramway project which we have been developing during and in response to these unprecedented times.

Tramway TV, launching next Wednesday 1 July on IGTV, is an online platform dedicated to responding to the current needs of artists, and generating opportunities to share work and create dialogue.
It will be a place to immerse yourself in our arts programme, from the thoughtful, rigorous and poetic, to the irreverent and DIY. It will platform a combination of film, artist conversations, digital performances and online interventions from visual artists and performance makers across Scotland and beyond.

We remain committed to connecting people through art and experimentation and we continue to seek ways in which to connect and support artists and communities. Some of those whose work we will be presenting in the coming weeks include Farah Saleh, Christian Noelle Charles, Frauke Requardt & Daniel Oliver, FRAN.K, Mamoru Iriguchi, Project X and Aya Kobayashi, with more to be announced.

Hardeep Pandhal
Uncaged Cipher: Confessions of Confessions of a Thug
Wed 1 July, 7.30pm on Tramway TV
Our launch features a new video from Hardeep Pandhal whose main gallery installation was cut short when Tramway had to close its doors in March. Uncaged Cipher: Confessions of Confessions of a Thug is a recorded artist talk in which Pandhal introduces the exhibition, Confessions of a Thug: Pakiveli. The artist describes his approach to making contemporary art alongside readings of his rap lyrics.

The video will be broadcast from IGTV at 7.30pm on Wednesday 1 July, and will be freely accessible via our Instagram account for two weeks after that.

Keep an eye on our website and social media channels #TramwayTV for more announcements about future programming, with broadcasts going out weekly.
