Birds of Paradise Theatre Company - (We indulge in) a bit of roll play
Thursday 19 and Friday 20 February - 7.30pm
Saturday 21 February - 2.30pm and 7.30pm
(We indulge in) a bit of roll play is the captivating new accessible production from Birds of Paradise Theatre Company taking a fearless look at sex and disability.
We wanted to call this show something else but the algorithms may have blocked us. We want to talk to you – honestly – about disabled people’s experience of sex.
Ben has a lot to navigate – uni, his parents, his sometimes girlfriend, and a secret or two. Everyone has always told him how he should live his life, what role he should play and how he should do it. It’s not as if he's afraid to indulge in a bit of exposure.
BOP returns in 2026 with an exclusive run of performances at Tramway. (We indulge in) a bit of roll play is an all-encompassing eruption of a production bringing together a collective of disabled artists, writers and performers.
Written by Hana Pascal Keegan, Gabriella Sloss and Robert Softley Gale, and directed by Robert Softley Gale, (We indulge in) a bit of roll play takes the audience on a funny, honest journey through the realms of disability and sex, from the stand up stage to the family kitchen table, the online world and beyond.

There will not be a separate relaxed performance, instead the company is very happy to provide detailed preshow information to assist with planning attendance and making pre-agreed adjustments if we can.
