HEISK, the vibrant and captivating six-piece folk band, redefine the traditional music landscape by infusing Scottish roots with contemporary energy and a commitment to gender diversity. United by a resolute mission to amplify the voices of women and gender minorities in the traditional music scene, HEISK's journey is an inspiring narrative of musical excellence, diversity, and empowerment.

Calum Stewart is an award winning Uilleann Piper, flautist and composer. Calum’s distinct musical voice – expressed through the wild, shimmering sound of the Irish Uilleann Pipes, and the rich, powerful tones of the Wooden Flute, has been developed through collaborations within the Scottish and Irish traditions. His most recent albums; True North (2023) and Tales from the North (2017) bring together traditional melodies and lyrical compositions, inspired by the landscape and heritage of Calum’s native North of Scotland. The band will feature Calum Stewart (Uilleann Pipes / Wooden Flute), Sophie Stephenson (Scottish Step Dance), Luc McNally (Bouzouki) and Ross Saunders (Double Bass).

CÀRNAN is an upcoming and energetic Scottish indie folk group with a funkier take on trad. The indisputable synergy of lively accordion (Louden MacKay) and vocals backed by thunderous guitar (Arthur Brook Young) gives the band a powerful and driven sound. The fusion of contemporary original tunes and songs, along with a firm connection to the music and culture of their roots - Highlands, Glasgow and Ireland to name a few - gives them a fresh and unique position within the music scene in Scotland.
