This new creation from Aditi Mangaldas follows the phenomenally well received Within. In the past few years, Aditi Mangaldas’ creations have garnered her international attention as the key contemporary Kathak creator in India.

With a cast of 8 dancers and 4 musicians, Inter_rupted is a high octane work based on disintegration, fragility, vulnerability, age and transience. It also follows the trajectory of modern Kathak, for which Aditi Mangaldas is becoming best known.

Aditi has been working with the best collaborators in dance for Inter_rupted including; Morag Deyes (Artistic Director of Dance Base, Edinburgh) as Mentor, who has known and promoted Aditi’s work for a long time, Farooq Chaudhry as dramaturge, the man who masterminded Akram Khan’s stellar rise, and lighting designer Fabiana Piccioli, winner of the Knight of the Illumination Award in 2013.

Part of the India@UK Year of Culture 2017, an inspiring programme celebrating deep cultural ties and the 70th anniversary of Indian Independence.
