Two Destination Language’s Katherina and Alister are collecting hope. In different parts of the UK, they’ve been speaking with people from all walks of life about what they hope for.

In July 2024, they brought their Hope and Ponies Takeover to Tramway, inviting the public to design and make banners which give these hopes concrete form. The banners on display, made with contributions from Govanhill people, are the end result! Join us to recharge your own store of hope — and contribute your own hopes to the growing collection.

The development of Hope and Ponies was supported by Creative Scotland, Unlimited, The British Council, Scottish Sculpture Workshop BIRCA Bornholm and Theatre in the Mill. Fabric was kindly donated by Rags to Riches from Govanhill Baths Community Trust.
