'I’ve got a little checklist. I call it KFC. But mine’s KFFC. Keys. Freedom Pass. Phone. Credit cards. And if I’ve got these, I’m ok. But this morning I forgot the phone….'

In this new collaborative work, lying somewhere between theatre and visual art, actor Tim Barlow reflects on being 80. Writer/theatre-maker Sheila Hill has used conversations with Tim, from a 20 year friendship, to construct the story he tells us about his life, memory, and the art of theatre.

An actor since leaving the army in 1969, Tim has worked extensively with Complicite; toured the world with his autobiographical one man shows; been one of the regulars in Derek (Channel 4), and has just filmed My Cousin Rachel (dir. Roger Mitchell) with Rachel Weisz.

In HIM, his words are juxtaposed with six short films by photographer/videographer Hugo Glendinning, and live music composed and performed by bassist Sebastiano Dessanay.

Supported by Unlimited, with funding from Arts Council England.
