A co-founder of Dallahan and sought-after session player, Ciaran Ryan ranks among the UK’s foremost tenor banjo players. Building on Dallahan’s celebrated world-folk eclecticism, he unveils a new set of all-original material, splicing his Scottish/Irish roots with Americana, rock and EDM influences, flanked by accordionist Sam Mabbett, guitarist Chris Waite, bassist Bev Morris and drummer Donald Hay.

Transcending musical borders in multiple directions, Fourth Moon are Austrian flute and whistle player Géza Frank, Italian fiddler David Lombardi, French guitarist Jean Damei and Scottish accordionist Andrew Waite, newly joined by Scots/Gaelic singer Ainsley Hamill. Merging diverse folk traditions with jazz and classical influences, their second album, 2021’s Odyssey, richly embodies the ideal of cross-cultural unity.

A key figure in Galicia’s contemporary Celtic revival, groundbreaking gaita player Susana Seivane returned to her roots with 2020’s sixth album Dende o meu Balcón, comprising freshly reimagined versions of classic bagpipe tunes. Her accompanying four-piece band features accordion, bouzouki, bass and drums.
