The Shape of Grief

Residency - Monday 16 to Saturday 21 January 2023

What happens when you clear out the homes of the dead and must make decisions about what to keep and what to throw away?

When faced with loss and grief, we cannot escape some of the big questions in life: What matters? What do we leave behind when we die? And what becomes of the things we have left behind that we have placed such importance on whilst living?

Following a year of deeply personal losses, Gail will use her residency time to explore grief and loss through her practice.

The Shape of Grief will look at how these themes impact on us at a personal, community and even global level, and will explore how they can be physicalised in choreography, and through the body.
