Residency 17 to 22 June

Over this residency Nayar will be developing a new piece that sits within a larger body of work titled The Mongrel.
In this larger body, Nayar has been researching colonial abuses of power in India and the resonance of generational trauma with western powers that actively perpetuate these abuses today. Over this residency Nayar will trace back over lines of ancestry through a movement practice that nourishes the body, embracing radical self care as a thing of beauty. The spectacle produced will be facilitated by collaborators invited into the space who will each draw out different aspects of 'the Mongrel' through the mediums of music and dance.
