Moving Out

Moving Out.jpgA co-commission from Tramway and The Work Room.

Moving Out is a new initiative supporting artists to expand their practice through adapting work for public sites and
outdoor contexts. Through this two new works will be sited in the local area of Pollokshields and Govanhill, for DIG 2019.
Four Corners is a dance event and art exhibition by Dance Activist Kate E. Deeming in partnership with children from four local primary schools. It will remind us that although we come from different geographic, political, social and cultural spaces we can still find ways to move together.
The project is now completed, but an on-street art exhibition of photographs documenting it can be seen around Pollokshields until 6 November.

SKETCHES by Katie Armstrong is a series of short films featuring dance duets set to and inspired by Bach’s Violin Concerto in A Minor filmed in iconic locations across Glasgow’s South Side. Each ‘sketch’ follows one movement of the concerto and manifests itself as a chance encounter between two bodies.
The installation at Tramway has been extended until 26 October

SKETCHES Film Installation: 14 - 26 October, Tramway Upper Galleries and Off-site.
Four Corners Photograph Exhibition : around Polloksheilds until 6 November

Visit this webpage later in the year for more details in the run-up to DIG.
